AET Week 1 Exploration

“Spearfish”

Behavioral Design

Notice main and centered graphic in the ad. The puffer fish is inflated with its poisonous spines and not affected by sharp pointed fish surrounding it. The other fish are not interested in attacking the puffer fish. The inflated body is a sign of danger. The puffer fish is impenetrable.

“CK One”

Visceral Design

Notice how the rouged lips and the pale seemingly flawless skin evoke a tone and emotion of sexuality and sex appeal. The woman is laying on her back in a defenseless position gazing at the product. The woman is stuck, in awe of the product.

“Be what you want to be, 1”

Reflective Design

Notice that the words are not the focal point of this ad. The face of Einstein is centered with peculiar detailing.  The imagery of the ad introduces a familiar view for many users regarding Einstein.  Einstein is remembered as being an innovative, resourceful, and imaginative individual.  This message highlights the ability of the user to reach different goals and objectives through inventive approaches.
