In this project I am working with web development and web design. My objectives were to create and launch a robust and interactive website that can be used to represent a grooming and boarding company for dogs. The outcome was a website that displayed popular grooming styles, contact information, services and prices, a photo gallery, frequently asked questions and answers, and a location to buy dog related products directly from the website. I used the Wix.com website to construct the website and for web development purposes. I also used Adobe Photoshop in the web design process. I am the only team member that contributed to the website. I received feedback from my professor and my peers for ways to better the website. This included adding content that was provided to me by my client and adding a recognizable logo that would be associated with the company. Additionally, adding better descriptions to the photo gallery would bring a better understanding to the pictures that were being displayed on the website. Lastly, I added three additional social networking buttons to bring more interaction with the social media community. I made a variety of revisions including:
- Updating the home page including a main logo for the website
- Resizing the grooming styles images on the homepages
- Adding prices for the grooming styles displayed on the homepage and the Gallery Page of the website
- Adding descriptions to the grooming style images and the Gallery Page on the homepage
- Adding Send Us An Email to the Contact Page
- Adding the Buy Now through Paypal Button on the Shop Page
