Week 1 Project: Proposal & Wireframe

Part I: Project Proposal - Perro Mi Perro Grooming & Boarding

GOALS

Perro Mi Perro Grooming and Boarding is confronting particularly competitive times in the animal grooming and boarding industry. The marketing team is seeking to implement traditional and non-traditional means of web design to expand the current clientele base. A highly informative and creative website that is user friendly will need to be produced to effectively reach current and new clientele. As a result, this state-of-the-art website will have a competitive edge over its current competitors in the animal grooming and boarding industry.

The organization is looking to create a website that has a contemporary presence and is fully functional including information on the company and its services. The website must build traffic between well known social networks to build a community of animals owners that seeking and using grooming and boarding services. Additionally, it must offer applicable and up to date information on the services, its products, the rates, and contact information, its policies, and customer feedback and reviews.  Lastly, the website must include a content management system to effectively and efficiently manage content on the website to ensure that the information is relevant and accurate.

STRATEGY

The organization will build a team of five web design professionals to implement and deploy the fully functional website. The professionals will include a Certified Web Designer, a Certified Professional Webmaster, a Certified Professional Web Developer, Certified Content Manager, and Certified E-commerce Manager. The web design team will include professionals are that equip with the skills and knowledge to build a robust webpage that includes the needs of the customer and goals of the organization. The designers must understand the importance of aesthetics and graphic design. Furthermore, the designers must pay attention branding elements such as logos, colors, content, and graphics in additional to structural components such as the organization of the site content and layout. 

The design and content presented on the website must be responsive when it adjusts from one device to another. The designers and developers will use software prototyping and utilize graphic programs such as Adobe Edge Reflow to experiment with your design. The team must be versatile and able to handle all aspects of coding and graphic design. The team will create a unique look and feel of the website to appeal to the organizations target market.

FEES

The complete company website to develop and deploy will cost $600. This includes a website were users will access information about the services, products, contact information, active ingredients in its products, read customer reviews, view graphics, and company pictures of grooming services. The administrative section will enable management of groomer names, services, and past experience. Additionally, the clientele will be able to build a profile and login where they can access their purchased products, book appointments, and write reviews on the products and grooming experience. The website will include company contact, history, and location pages. Original graphics will be present on the homepage and interior pages. Lastly, the company will purchase a content management system at the cost of $1,100. This content management system will allow publishing, editing, and modifying of content, organizing, adding and deleting content as a functional maintenance tool of the website’s interface. It will monitor and manage the backend of the webpages to ensure that content is displaying correctly as the web developers and designers intend for it to. In total, the project will cost $1,700.
