Before
I started the MCBS Program, I was enrolled at University Of Maryland Baltimore
County majoring in Information Systems. Since I was in high school, I imagined
myself working on fine-tuning computer systems into the late hours and
computing complex but innovative software coding for a leading fortune 500
company. I had always thought I wanted to work with computers as an Information
Technology specialist. I was very computer savvy and knew I wanted to take my
aspirations to the next level. But then
I began an internship with the
National Capital Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking (NCCPUD) as community
liaison and public relations worker. Working
with my mentor and coalition's Executive President, Nadine Parker, I was introducing to the wide and
inspiring world of philanthropy and public relations. Because of that internship,
I began speaking on radio stations, local news stations, and in front of large
crowds as an advocate for the coalition. Because of the public exposure, I
gained a good amount of practice and interest into the field of communication. Because
of my interests,
I applied to Full Sail University for the Media
Communications Bachelors of Science program.
Until
on a sunny Saturday afternoon, I received my enrollment decision from Full Sail
University in the mail and had been graciously accepted into the MCBS program. And
ever since then, I decided to pursue my passion for media communications and
broadcasting. I have been working to complete my communications degree and
pursue a career in the lucrative industry of media communications.
To
complete this project, I utilized the Microsoft Word, Photoshop, and Google
Blogger. Microsoft Word was used when crafting the post following the modified
story pine. Photoshop was used to crop and digitally edit my personal
photograph. Lastly, Google Blogger was used when creating and naming my student
blog for the MCBS program.
